MGM Grand has flipped the switch on its fancy new digital marquee, and it’s a worthy entry in the race for the most sparkly sign on the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n

“Ka” gets some love from MGM’s new digital marquee.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The giant MGM is more dazzling than ever, now lit up with 27,520 LED lights.<\/p>\n

The sign is split into roughly two halves. One side is a static image (at left, above), the other is a huge digital display showcasing the entertainment offerings at MGM Grand like Cirque du Soleil’s “Ka” (the Asian one<\/a>), magician David Copperfield and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club.<\/p>\n

Our photo taken during the upgrade shows the framework for the dramatic increase in screen size.<\/p>\n
