SLS Las Vegas Announces Labor Day Weekend Opening
Stuff just got real at the former Sahara hotel, as SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas has announced it will open Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29 to Sep. 1, 2014.
Exactly nobody expected a new hotel would be built on the former Sahara site anytime soon (the Sahara closed on May 16, 2011), but turns out construction has moved even more quickly than anticipated.
SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is co-owned by SBE Entertainment, and its CEO, Sam Nazarian, posted a quick note on the company’s blog saying, “It’s been an incredible journey these past few years and Im proud and humbled by some big news – SLS Las Vegas is officially opening Labor Day Weekend 2014. Looking forward to toasting The Strip’s next chapter with you! We are ‘back’ indeed!”
Well, he showed us!
SLS Las Vegas will have 1,600 rooms and ample restaurant, shopping and nightlife amenities.
We’re excited to feel some new felt, try some new restaurants, avoid new nightclubs and add another casino chip to our collection!
