The Fight is On<\/strong><\/h2>\nBrodie has let his concerns be known throughout the process and isn\u2019t planning to stand by while the casino gets built.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s filed a notice of objection with the BC Lotteries Corporation (BCLC), which regulates the local casino industry and must give final approval before the project can move forward.<\/p>\n
In the past, he\u2019s suggested that a previously discussed location in the north end of the city would be more suitable for the casino project.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would hope that they take a look at it some more and the process would lead to a rethink,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
While the BCLC has yet to comment on the Brodie\u2019s objections, it\u2019s likely that the matter will need to go through a dispute resolution process before it can sign off on the development.<\/p>\n
