(Image: Kayak)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe unnamed 37-year-old suspect was charged with fourth-degree domestic violence assault, fourth-degree domestic violence, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree murder, attempting to elude police, and DUI possession of a stolen vehicle, according to news reports.<\/p>\n
On April 11, he forced the 35-year-old victim into his pickup truck while they were both at the casino, according to Washington State TV station KOMO. He also allegedly punched her in the head.<\/p>\n
On April 10, the suspect revealed in texts \u201cI\u2019m beating her alive I\u2019m going to skin her alive,\u2019\u201d according to police reports.<\/strong><\/p>\nHe was upset she was breaking up with him, police said.<\/p>\n
Also on April 10, he allegedly assaulted her in the left arm with a metal canister. He was able to elude police that day.<\/p>\n
The next day, police were alerted about the kidnapping.<\/p>\n
Once officers spotted the suspect’s truck in Everett, Wash. they began to pursue the vehicle.<\/p>\n
At one point, the suspect was able to outdrive officers. Police later located the truck near the Mukilteo Speedway and resumed the chase.<\/p>\n
Then, the suspect began to drive southbound on the northbound lanes of State Route 525 in Lynnwood, Wash. That was when he crashed the truck into a GMC Yukon. The driver of the Yukon, identified as Trudy Slanger, 83, died from the collision.<\/strong><\/p>\nVictim Broke Leg<\/h2>\n
The suspect and kidnapping victim were injured during the crash. Both were transported to emergency rooms. The suspect was seriously hurt. He was treated at Harborview Medical Center. He later was booked in the Snohomish County jail. The kidnapping victim reportedly suffered a broken leg.<\/strong><\/p>\nPolice discovered there were warrants out for the suspect\u2019s arrest.\u00a0 Those charges include: first-degree assault with a weapon, possession of a controlled substance with intent, and unlawful possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n
The pickup truck turned out to be stolen from Bothell, Wash. in March, according to The News Tribune<\/em>, a local news outlet.<\/p>\nSlanger is survived by three children and five grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Infant in Car at Ohio Casino<\/h2>\n
An Ohio father was arrested Saturday after he allegedly left his 10-month-old daughter alone in a car<\/a> at Jack Casino\u2019s parking garage in Cleveland.<\/p>\nThe girl was unsupervised in the vehicle for more than 90 minutes while her dad, Kyle Miller, 27, of Elyria, went inside the casino, according to Ohio TV station WOIO.<\/strong><\/p>\nA person walking in the garage saw the infant and contacted police at about 10 p.m.<\/p>\n
An EMS crew examined the baby. She didn\u2019t appear to have suffered any ailments. She also was examined at a local hospital.\u00a0After getting checked out, she was given to relatives.<\/p>\n
On Saturday night, Miller was apprehended by police.
