Before that, her last Las Vegas show was when her Fearless tour played at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe are enchanted to have @tayorswift13 and all #Swifties in town this weekend,\u201d Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman tweeted Wednesday, the same day the Gateway Arches leading to downtown Las Vegas began a light show honoring the colors of Swift\u2019s albums.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Swifties lined up as early as 6 a.m. Thursday just to buy Taylor Swift T-shirts at an &#8220;early merch day&#8221; in Allegiant Stadium&#8217;s Lot B.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><b>Expensive, But Not <em>That\u00a0<\/em> Expensive\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Though all 80K initial opportunities to see Swift over the weekend sold out quickly, the aftermarket websites are always eager to serve the second-chance market.<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, the reseller Stubhub listed two Swift seats together for Friday night\u2019s show (Section 433, Row 8) for $585 each before fees, and two together for Saturday (Section 320, Row 10) for $640 each. In fact, it costs three times more for the cheapest last-minute tickets to see the final two \u201cWeekends With Adele\u201d shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and <em>five<\/em> times more for the best seats. Originally, this conflict was widely seen as a faux pas, Swift seeming to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/taylor-swifts-las-vegas-gig-steps-on-adeles-big-night\/\">step directly on Adele\u2019s previously scheduled big nights<\/a>. But the Adele business is doing just fine, thank you, and the two superstars remain friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, as reported by\u00a0<em>Billboard,<\/em>\u00a0Adele called Swift \u201cone of the greatest songwriters of our generation.\u201d And in a viral 2014 video, Swift sang Adele\u2019s \u201cSomeone Like You,\u201d accompanied by a fan suffering from cancer.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers performance-rights organization even reported the registration of a song called \u201cBroken Hearts\u201d by writers \u201cAdele Laurie Blue Adkins\u201d and \u201cTaylor Alison Swift\u201d &#8212; though no such song ever surfaced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just won a hand playing blackjack and looking to put your winnings to good use?
