The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, was apprehended at 2:40 p.m. by undercover officers outside Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles, just east of the Flamingo Las Vegas on the Strip. The officers, who had a warrant for the arrest, booked the rapper into the Clark County Detention Center.<\/p>\n
Video of Blueface\u2019s arrest, published by TMZ, <\/em>shows the rapper sitting outside a business with his girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, 22, when men dressed in civilian clothing suddenly pin him against a wall, handcuff him, and walk him away.<\/p>\n\nScene of the Crime<\/strong><\/h2>\nTMZ<\/em> obtained footage of the October 8 incident, in which a person resembling the rapper is shown pulling out a weapon and firing it multiple times at the truck driver pulling up alongside Blueface and his crew. The driver then speeds away.<\/p>\n\n
Sources at the venue told TMZ<\/em> that the driver had entered the club earlier and was attacked by the rapper’s crew, who had allegedly been drinking. The driver apparently waited for Blueface and his crew to exit the club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\nWhat started the altercation was not clear.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\nRap Sheet<\/strong><\/h2>\nBlueface is known by hip-hop fans for his hit \u201cThotiana,\u201d which Billboard<\/em> magazine ranked the 26th-best song of 2019. By authorities, he\u2019s known for a rap sheet that includes two separate arrests for gun possession in February 2022 and 2019, according to TMZ<\/em>. The 2019 charge was eventually dropped.<\/p>\nIn November 2018, he was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the New York Times,<\/em> after reportedly being the victim of a robbery.<\/p>\nA warrant was also issued for Blueface\u2019s arrest in 2021 for his alleged involvement in a brutal attack on a bouncer who allegedly denied him entry to a club in LA\u2019s San Fernando Valley.<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the days following the alleged October 2022 shooting, Blueface posted a clip to his Instagram page from the music video for his song \u201cBetter Days 2 (Pain In The Ghetto).\u201d It showed the rapper in jail wearing an orange jumpsuit.<\/p>\n
The clip opens with the lyrics: \u201cOne suspect, two victims, hurt all three they kids \/ Four, five shots, all it took to get \u2019em 40 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
