The firearm turned out to be a BB gun.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_239446\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-239446\" data-style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-239446\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/LAuberge-Exterior-142x100.jpg\" alt=\"L\u2019Auberge Casino &amp; Hotel Baton Rouge\" width=\"1200\" height=\"844\" \/><figcaption  id=\"caption-attachment-239446\"class=\"text-description\">L\u2019Auberge Casino &amp; Hotel Baton Rouge, pictured above. (Image: Manning Architects)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Soon after the attempted robbery, the sole suspect fled the lot and was spotted on the first floor of the casino\u2019s parking garage. He then made his way to a nearby Honda. A deputy pointed a firearm at the suspect, who drove away from the garage.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the week, the suspect was apprehended. He was identified as Christopher Thomas Jr., 21, of Baton Rouge.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p>Charges include attempted armed robbery, resisting an officer, flight from an officer, and obstruction of justice, according to <em>BRProud.com<\/em>, a local news organization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Deputies initially were told the incident was a \u201cYouTube prank,\u201d the news report said. It was then discovered a BB gun was used in the attempted robbery.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<h2>Alleged Voyeurism<\/h2>\n<p>In another incident last week, John T. Metoyer, 56, of Natchitoches, La., was charged with video voyeurism. He allegedly used a cell phone to take a video and photos while pointing the device up a woman\u2019s skirt at the L\u2019Auberge Casino on October 1.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p>The victim and a friend were at a roulette table when the incident took place, police said. Metoyer then attempted to take a new round of videos and photos of the woman as he watched her from behind, <em>BPProud.com<\/em>. Casino security staff soon apprehended Metoyer, who was handed over to the local police.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Metoyer was booked at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He later was released from custody.
