The feel-good story many golf fans will be hoping for is Phil Mickelson winning this week to cap off the career grand slam. Lefty is one of just 16 players to win at least three of golf’s four majors.<\/p>\n

The US Open has eluded him throughout his Hall of Fame career. Most notably, Mickelson collapsed on the final hole of the 2006 championship held at Winged Foot when he doubled the final hole to lose by a shot to Geoff Ogilvy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Mickelson’s record at Pebble is as good as any. He’s won on the course five times by claiming the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, most recently in February 2019. But the track will look very different this week.<\/p>\n
Mickelson is at 30\/1 to complete the career grand slam and join Jack Nicklaus, Woods, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Gene Sarazen as the only players to win each of the four majors.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nGraeme McDowell \u2013 who won the US Open the last time it was contested at Pebble (2010) \u2013 is a distant 100\/1 to win.
