Vegas Music Roundup: Rod’s Finale, New Edition’s Encore

Singer Rod Stewart has added seven Caesars Palace dates and announced that “The Hits,” the two-time?Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s 13-year residency at The Colosseum, will conclude with its 200th show on Aug. 7, 2024. Debuting in 2011, Stewart’s is already the longest-running current residency of any Las Vegas headliner.
Stewart’s final performances will be on July 24, 26, 27, 31, and August 2, 3, and 7. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
“Sir Rod Stewart is a true rock legend, and we have had the great privilege of being his Las Vegas home at The Colosseum for more than a decade,” said Jason Gastwirth, president of entertainment for Caesars Entertainment. “Throughout his residency, we’ve been amazed by Rod’s impeccable showmanship and superstar talent highlighting his timeless catalog of hits, and we are incredibly grateful for the countless memories he created for our guests.”
Old is New
New Edition has snagged a residency at Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theater from February 28 to March 9. Original members Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, and?Johnny Gill?are all reportedly on board.
In a statement, the ’80s R&B hitmakers said: “Fulfilling a career-long dream to solidify ourselves with a residency performance in the Entertainment Capital of the world, we are beyond excited to embark on this fantastical journey at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas … It is our extreme purpose to give our fans a show that they cannot witness anywhere else in the world.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PST on Friday, November 10, via Ticketmaster.
Crowes & Scorpions
The Scorpions will re-sting the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood with nine shows this spring. The dates are April 11, 13, 18, 20, 24, 26, and 28, and May 1 and 3. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
The Black Crowes will return to Vegas for two shows at the Pearl at the Palms on February 9 and 10, which is Super Bowl weekend. Tickets are already on sale via Ticketmaster.
